How Mud Shakers Are Used In Drilling
Some fine particles may not be purified in the hydro clones and end up rejoining with the purified mud. To ensure high-quality purification of mud, mud shakers are equipped with a fine mesh screen. The latter screen is used in separating particles that are larger than barite from the drilling fluid. Barite is a type of mineral that comprises of barium sulfate. The main use of the mineral is in drilling where it is used as a weighting agent for drilling fluids. Solid particles that are larger than barite are those that exceed the seventy four to one hundred and five micrometer size.
